History: In February of 1925, the people of Beresford voted and approved the construction and operation of a municipal telephone exchange. The municipal telephone system opened for business in November 1925. In 1965, the telephone company changed from the manually operated switchboards to the first municipally operated push button system in the world. In 1982, the Cable TV system was built and delivered signal to the first customers in January 1983. Internet was added in 1996. Construction started on Beresford's fiber build in 2020 and was completed in May 2021. Beresford's telephone and Internet network is now 100% fiber to the premise.
