SDN Communications and its Member Companies mourn the loss of long-time board member Rod Bowar, owner of Kennebec Telephone Company.
He died unexpectedly on August 28th, 2022. Rod's obituary and funeral service details are available through the Hickey Funeral Chapel website.
Rod was self-taught in everything he did. As a result, he often said he had to get up earlier and worker harder than others to create success. He did it well, not only as the last South Dakota family-owned telephone company, but also in the seven or more local businesses he created to serve central South Dakota.
