Megan Williams

Megan Williams is a Sales Development Representative at SDN Communications, the first in the company’s history. She joined SDN in November 2024.

As a Sales Development Representative, Williams is responsible for developing relationships and sales leads for the company’s account executives. The position is designed to prepare Williams for an account executive position in the future.

A native of Albertville northwest of Minneapolis, Williams moved to Sioux Falls to pursue a degree in nursing. Eventually, she changed course and moved into the hospitality industry with The Country Club of Sioux Falls. It was while working as a banquet captain at The Country Club that she was discovered by SDN Commercial Sales Manager Jon Clayborne.

“She just had such positive energy,” he recalls. Clayborne eventually learned that she’s also ambitious, gregarious and open to new opportunities. “She has that natural sales ability.”

While her trajectory to telecommunications may not have been conventional, Williams is not surprised by her career so far.

“I never had a dream job in mind, and that has given me a freedom to find different kinds of careers to explore,” she says. “This position is so different and new and I love experiencing new things.”

When Willliams isn’t working, she unwinds with her hobbies, which include puzzling, being outside, escape rooms, listening to music and finding the next fun thing to do.

“It’s good for me to rest my body and my mind, but I am always looking for the next adventure,” she says.
