Accounts Payable Specialist

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 – 5, with some evenings and weekends

Overview statement

The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financials records and supporting the overall financial health of SDN by performing the following duties:

  • Process invoices for approval and general ledger coding.
  • Verify and match invoices to receiving documents.
  • Post invoices in the Accounting system.
  • Generate vendor payments – ACH, checks or credit card.
  • Investigate invoice discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.
  • Review monthly expense accounts for completeness.
  • Back-up warehouse technician as needed.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Job requirements

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products and various software

Education and/or experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
