JOB SUMMARY

Network Account Executive (AE) is a business-to-business sales role. Expected to actively promote and sell company products and services to consistently contribute to company profitability, and individual and team goals. As an AE you will be responsible for the management of accounts in which you will manage the relationship, upsell as well as prospect and close new business logos. Our products and services can be categorized as follows:

Network Connectivity

• Fiber optic internet service
• Ethernet transport (layer 2 & 3)
• Other new connectivity options as approved by SDN Executives

Managed Services

• Managed Firewall Service
• Managed Router Service
• Managed DDoS Protection
• Other Managed services as approved by SDN Executives

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for the full sales cycle from prospect to close.
• Communicate effectively with Service Delivery (sales support) and Sales Engineers
• Travels throughout the assigned territory, to discover new logos and engage with existing accounts to build and maintain relationships.
• Quotes SDN services, with guidance and reference from our Sales Engineers and Commercial Sales Manager.
• Prepares reports of sales activities and keeps expense accounts.
• Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the computer database.
• Attends trade shows, chamber events and other SDN functions.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY/DISASTER RECOVERY (BC/DR):

You are expected to participate in SDN's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery program by being knowledgeable about SDN's BCDR Program, actively participate in BCDR drills and exercises, and may be assigned various duties in response to business emergencies (and establishing/executing priorities, responses and recovery activities in the event of a service disruption).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience
• Sales experience in B2B environment, Telecom or IT preferred

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• Effective communication to C-Suite, Director, and other executive personnel
• Must be able to travel, some overnight travel is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• A personality that allows you to excel in a sales environment; self-motivated to produce.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Visio, Excel and Word
• Current driver’s license required and acceptable driving record
